MicroNotch
MicroNotch puts everyday Mac tools in a small panel at the top of your screen. You can dictate text, check on your AI coding sessions, find something you copied, and keep files ready to share. It works with or without a notch, including on external monitors. You can try it free for three days with no card required.
Key Features
- Voice Dictation: MicroVoice turns your speech into English text on your Mac, with no cloud service. Hold Fn to speak, then let go to insert the words into the app you are using. It needs a model download of about 345 MB.
- Coding Session Monitoring: Keep sessions from Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and Antigravity in view. See what is working, what needs your answer, and what has finished. The controls you get depend on the provider and connection.
- Clipboard History: Turn on a searchable history of what you copied, and pin the items you use often. It is kept on your Mac.
- File Shelf: Hold files in the notch, then drag them into another app or send them with AirDrop.
- Music Controls: Pause, skip, and see what is playing in Apple Music or Spotify.
- Timers and Focus: Start a countdown or a Pomodoro session. The timer keeps running when the notch closes.
- Quick Note: Write down a thought in a scratch note that is saved on your Mac as you type.
- Calendar and Reminders: See upcoming events and your Apple Reminders, and mark tasks done from the notch. Both ask for permission first.
- More Tools: Use a unit converter, a teleprompter, system stats, weather, and your Apple Shortcuts. In all, there are 21 tools, and you can pin up to six favorites.
- Your Way: Pick a light, dark, or system look. Open the panel with your pointer or with the shortcut Control Option Space.
